Information on the processing of personal data

The Knowledge Foundation, org.no. 802400-4213 (the Knowledge Foundation) processes personal data received in connection with applications for project grants, preparation and follow-up of projects, staffing of expert and assessor groups, recruitment of employees and everything connected thereto, the establishment of supplier agreements and in connection with events and visits, as well as tenders in connection with procurement and general inquiries and in statistical compilations, reports and annual reports.

The personal data is used to be able to process project applications and carry out assessments, decide on grant allocation and sign agreements with universities for financing projects and follow-up these projects during and after the project period. Some personal data are used for project follow-up purposes and for the Knowledge Foundation to be able to comply with the legal rules by which the Knowledge Foundation is established. We do this with the support of consent, agreement and legal obligation.

The Knowledge Foundation collects personal data through registration of a user account in the application and reporting portal, registration of interest in newsletters and submission of project applications and follow-up reporting.

Processing of personal data in the Knowledge Foundation’s activities takes place in accordance with the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We protect your information against unauthorized access.

We always strive to process your personal data within the EU/EEA area. In case your data should be used outside the EU, for example by one of our service providers, we always ensure that there are safeguarding measures.

The Knowledge Foundation saves your personal data during the time they are necessary to fulfill the purposes of the processing. This usually means that your information is saved until (i) the stipulated time in the form of lawful requirements on the preservation of the data has been passed, (ii) the legal obligations are fulfilled, for example in accounting and (iii) the applicable limitation periods for claiming, defend and exercise legal claims passed.

The data subject has the right to request an extract to check which personal data the Knowledge Foundation processes free of charge once a year and that the data is correct. Incorrect personal data must be corrected or supplemented. Under certain conditions, personal data can be deleted. Registered person has the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Data Protection Authority.
