The Knowledge Foundation offers eight program forms for financing. The universities can use the programs strategically to develop their operations in the long term and build strong research and educational environments that create value for academia as well as business and society. Our calls for proposals are open to project proposals in all subject and business areas.

All our programs contribute in different ways to environments being able to establish and maintain a strong national and international scientific or artistic position in the long term, which also constitutes a profile area for the university. In this way, the environment can also become a long-term and valuable partner for business.
What is meant by strong environment?
A strong environment has the ability to collectively and long-term develop its research and education in collaboration with business. Prioritization and a joint, well-rooted ambition provide the conditions to establish a strong scientific position and profile with high relevance for business and society.

The Knowledge Foundation offers eight programs for project support. The programs are designed to contribute to strategically strong research and educational environments at the universities and at the same time contribute to development and increased competence for the business world.
Prospekt
The Prospekt programme provides funding for early career researchers looking to independently manage a research project in co-production with the business sector.

In the Synergi programme, higher education institution together with business partners address an integrated research question that contributes to scientific profiling of the university. The overarching synergy project is created by combining several subprojects.

The Expertkompetens programme gives the higher education institutions, together with the business sector, the opportunity to develop their ability to meet the needs of the business sector in terms of competence development for working professionals.

Rekrytering
The Rekrytering programme gives higher education institutions an opportunity to recruit an associate senior lecturer, senior lecturer, professor, international guest professor or adjunct professor/lecturer from the business sector. A senior lecturer or professor can also be placed in the business sector.

The KK-miljö programme is not a traditional funding programme but a dialogue-based working method to develop research, second-cycle education and co-production in a coherent and strategic way within a defined part of a higher education institution’s academic activity.
