A new application round is now open in the programme Capacity Building. From this year onwards, the programme welcomes applications both in spring and autumn – a decision that provides universities with greater flexibility when planning strategically important recruitments of key expertise.
Launched in autumn 2025, the programme Capacity Building aims to promote mobility and international collaboration. One of the driving forces was the increasingly uncertain global situation, where researchers in several parts of the world face growing restrictions and reduced freedom to conduct independent research.
The programme offers funding for the employment or appointment of international guest researchers as well as adjunct professors or senior lecturers with placement at a university or at a business partner.
