Jubilee Doctoral Students – Network meeting in Halmstad

Welcome to a two-day network activity in Halmstad bringing together doctoral students from the Knowledge Foundation’s Jubilee Doctoral Students initiative.

When & where

Focus of the meeting

The meeting focuses on co-production of knowledge and how collaboration with external partners can contribute to meaningful impact. Through collaborative discussions and hands-on activities, participants will share experiences, explore different approaches to co-production, and strengthen their professional network.

27 April – Halmstad University

  • 12:00 – 13:00 Lunch at Restaurant Mangold
    – Crew from HH will be outside of the restaurant from 11:45 to provide you with a food tickets and instructions on where to get your food
  • 12:50 – 13:00 Relocation to room S3052 in the S-house
  • 13:00 – 13:30 Intro & Ice breaker mingle
  • 13:30 – 15:00 Impact vision workshop: Groupwork with creative materials
  • 15:00 – 15.30 Fika
  • 15:30 – 17:00 Impact vision workshop: Presentations and conclusions
  • 17:30 – 18:00 Bus transport to Hotel Tylösand
  • 19:00 Dinner at Titus tapas at Hotel Tylösand

28 April – Hotel Tylösand

The meeting will take place in room Michael Jackson.

Practical information

  • Participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodation. However, rooms have been reserved at Hotel Tylösand at a discounted rate. The rooms are held until 30 March. Booking instructions have been sent by email.

    If you for some reason can’t stay at Hotel Tylösand – we suggest that you book a room in central Halmstad. There are busses going between Tylösand and the city every 20 or 30 minutes. If you are not staying at Hotel Tylösand – please inform agneta.backman@hh.se.

  • Arrival

    You can arrive by bus to Halmstad Resecentrum or by train to Halmstad Central Station. They are about a five-minute walk apart. From the station, you can walk to the University in approximately 20 minutes.

    There are also multiple busses going from the bus station to the University. Search for trips between ”Halmstad Resecentrum” to ”Halmstad Högskolan” at Hallandstrafiken.

    If you arrive by train to the Central Station, you will have to take the bridge over the train tracks to get to the bus station – and then find your way to the bus stop at Laholmsvägen (on the other side of the bus station).

    You can also fly to Halmstad Airport, and take the bus with Hallandstrafiken to the University. The trip takes about 30 minutes and requires a bus change.

    Departure

    Since we will be at Hotel Tylösand on the 28 April, we will arrange for a bus to take us back to the central station. You can also go by bus with Hallandstrafiken to Halmstad Resecentrum.

    There is no direct bus from Hotel Tylösand to the airport. Instead, take a bus to central Halmstad and then another bus to the airport.

  • The afternoon programme on 27 April will start in room S3052. Look out for information boards pointing you in the right direction.
